Parisian perfumier Creed to launch in India

Parisian perfumier Creed has been brought to the Indian market by local luxury retail group Bequest.

The firm will open two outlets for the house – known for its hand-mixed, limited-edition scents — within the territory over the coming year.

“Our store is positioned between the Hermes and Chanel stores at the Chanakya Mall in Delhi,” said the firm’s seventh-generation perfumer and owner Erwin Creed to the Indian Economic Times. “India’s luxury malls are at par with any other country’s, but we will grow here gradually”.

“We would rather look at doing more pop-up concept stores across the top metros and even smaller, tier-II cities,” said Bequest Group founder Gaganmeet Singh. “The company holds a master-franchise for Creed here.”

Bequest also operates brands such as Berluti Paris, Brunello Cucinelli and Tod’s within the Indian market.

Parisian perfumier Creed’s main focus remains on Asia and the Middle-East.
