This website is operated by RetailNews Asia ("we", "us", or "our"). We provide industry news, insights, data trackers, research, newsletters, podcasts and related content for general information and business purposes.

By accessing or using any part of this website you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

You agree to use our website lawfully and respectfully. Specifically, you must not:

• Break any laws or infringe on anyone's rights
• Upload or transmit anything harmful, offensive, fraudulent or misleading
• Try to hack, damage, disrupt or overload our website or servers
• Scrape, spider or systematically download content without our written permission
• Circumvent any access controls, paywalls or authentication mechanisms
• Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with any organisation

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access for anyone who violates these rules.

Some features require a free or paid account. When you register you must provide accurate, complete information and keep it up to date.

You are responsible for:

• All activity that occurs under your account
• Maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorised use

We may require email verification before you can access certain features, including paid checkout and members-only content.

We offer a tiered membership model. Prices are displayed in euros (EUR) unless otherwise stated and are exclusive of VAT, which is calculated at checkout where applicable.

• Without an account — free of charge. You may read up to 10 articles per calendar month. Podcasts and members-only features are not available.
• Free account — free of charge. Unlimited articles, one episode of The Retail Brief podcast per calendar month, the Monday, Wednesday and Friday newsletters, My Retail feed and saved articles.
• Executive Membership — €250 per year. Removes every cap: unlimited articles and podcasts, full access to the Deal & Expansion Tracker, saved searches, CSV exports, the Retail Academy, quarterly reports, the Executive calendar feed and other research products marked as Executive-only.
• Retail Leaders Circle — US$2,500 per year. Application-reviewed network for senior operators, separate from the Executive Membership. Acceptance is at our sole discretion.

We may change pricing or benefits from time to time. Any price change for existing paid members will be communicated at least 30 days before it takes effect on renewal.

Executive Membership is billed annually through Stripe. Payment is due in advance. By completing checkout you authorise us to charge the payment method on file for the applicable amount.

• Renewal: your membership renews automatically each year on the anniversary of your original purchase unless you cancel before the renewal date.
• Cancellation: you may cancel at any time through the Stripe billing portal linked in My Retail. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period; you retain access until then.
• Payment failures: if a renewal payment fails, we may retry and may suspend access until payment is successfully processed.
• Taxes: VAT, GST or other applicable taxes are calculated by Stripe based on your location and, where valid, your VAT number. You are responsible for any taxes not collected at checkout.

Card details are processed directly by Stripe and never touch our servers. Stripe's terms and privacy policy apply to payment processing.

Executive Membership is a digital product. Refunds are considered on a case-by-case basis and are not guaranteed. As a general rule:

• If you have not used any Executive-only content or features since your most recent charge, you may request a refund within 14 days of payment.
• Refunds are not provided for partial months or years, unused benefits, or changes of mind after substantial use.
• To request a refund, contact [email protected] with your account email and the date of purchase.

Sponsored content, press-release placements and advertising bookings are non-refundable once the material has been published or scheduled, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

The RetailNews Asia Index ("RNA-10") is an equal-weighted basket of ten listed Asian retailers and commerce companies tracked by us for editorial and informational purposes.

By viewing any RNA-10 data you acknowledge and agree that:

• The RNA-10 is a house-built market tracker, not a licensed, regulated or investable financial index.
• Prices and index levels are sourced from public market data and are delayed by at least 15 minutes.
• The RNA-10 and any constituent pages, charts or commentary are provided for general information only and do not constitute investment advice, a recommendation to buy or sell any security, or an offer of financial services.
• Past performance of any constituent or the basket as a whole is not indicative of future results.
• We are not a broker, investment adviser or financial intermediary. You should consult a licensed professional before making any investment decision.
• We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness or timeliness of any price, index level or calculation, and we may change constituents, weights or methodology without notice.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we accept no liability for any trading, investment or other financial loss arising from reliance on RNA-10 data.

We do our best to provide accurate and up-to-date information. However, we:

• Don't guarantee that everything is always correct, complete or current
• May change, correct or remove content at any time without notice
• May publish sponsored or partner content clearly labelled as such

Upon termination, your right to use the site and any paid features ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, disclaimers and liability limitations) will survive.

We may update these terms at any time. The latest version will always be posted here with the "Last updated" date. By continuing to use the site after changes are published, you accept the updated terms. Material changes affecting paid memberships will be communicated by email where possible.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Any disputes will be handled in the courts of Amsterdam, The Netherlands, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
