Three decades after its 1996 launch, Sparkle has expanded capacity on its Seabone Tier-1 IP backbone to 400 Gbps across 126 international locations. The network provides high-speed connectivity across Europe, Africa, the Americas and Asia to support cloud platforms and content providers.

Under the upgrade, backbone edge nodes support port speeds up to 400 Gbps to handle traffic from streaming, gaming, cloud computing and artificial intelligence applications. Sparkle also introduced Fast Delivery across all major hubs, enabling activation within 24 hours for expanding clients such as Asia-based edge cloud provider EdgeNext.
A centralized 24-hour network operations center monitors performance, isolates faults and optimizes routes across redundant fiber paths. Complementary services include automated denial-of-service mitigation. In addition, Virtual NAP access lets carriers link to major internet exchange points without installing physical routing hardware at each facility.
