Designer eyewear brand Gentle Monster from Korea will open its first flagship store for Southeast Asia in Orchard Road next month.
With Samara (Sanskrit for “circle of life”) as its concept, the Ion Orchard space will off the brand’s full range, including its new collaboration with British actress/model/artist Tilda Swinton.
Gentle Monster, which also has a presence in New York and Hong Kong, is known for its in-store art installations, a concept aimed at reflecting the experimental code of the brand.
Every store in the network has a different interior design and standalone stores feature external themes, such as the one in Hong Kong resembling a train carriage.
